Flexican and Major Lazer – Watch Out For This (Bumaye)

Amsterdam based DJ/Producer The Flexican has teamed up with Major Lazer, the dancehall, electro, Hip-Hop side project team created by Diplo for the release of “Watch Out For This (Bumaye).”

“Watch Out For This (Bumaye)” is already a Moombathon anthem and the first taste of Major Lazer’s forthcoming album, Free The Universe. However, this track has origins dating back to 2005 when The Flexican remixed his own original production entitled “Bumaye.” Diplo heard the track and hooked up with The Flexican, co-producer FS Green and recruited dancehall singer Busy Signal to drop vocals over the remake. The result is an island jam uniting Caribbean vibes with the modern dance floor and it’s poised to be one of the biggest tracks of WMC/MMW.

The Masta-Blasta Returns To Webster Hall

dillonfrancis_2013

Mr. IDGAFOS is returning to New York City’s famous Webster Hall. That’s right, just two and a half months after bringing the Wet and Reckless Tour, Dillon Francis is returning to NY for a much anticipated 2-night stay.

Back in November Dillon came to town riding high with his brand-new banger, “Bootleg Fireworks(Burning Up)”, but he’s added more weapons to his arsenal since then. His remixes of “Like Home”, and “Where Did I Go’”turned 2012 into a nearly perfect year, from what was an already amazing year for any EDM artist.

The doors to the first of his two shows open at 10pm on Saturday, January 19, 2012, although it is already sold out. It’s an 19+ event, and the sounds of GTA’s electro-house are sure to get the crowd warmed up. The second night tickets are still available, however it is a 16+ event. That night Dillon receives support from Anamanguchi and Gent & Jawns.

Regardless of age, we are all heading to Webster Hall that weekend for one reason, because we love the music. Combine the great music with a crowd that’s going HAM, and it’s sure to be a memorable night. I personally will be there on Sunday, and you can get tickets for that night here, but before you do check out the preview to his newest remix.

Kill the Noise & Feed Me – Thumbs Up

Kill the Noise and Feed Me have teamed up to bring you the funk’d out moombahcore banger that is Thumbs Up. This is easily one of our favorite tracks off Kill the Noise’s Black Magic EP. You can hear both producer’s sounds well in this song. From Feed Me’s funky chopped vocals to Kill the Noise’s growl like synths come together to form a brilliant collaboration. It’s been almost two years since they last combined forces on Muscle Rollers. Meanwhile, both producers have been destroying the electronic music scene and dance floors across the world. Thumbs up everybody!

Kill The Noise & Feed Me – Thumbs Up (For Rock N’ Roll)

Two of Pachaholics favorites in the Dubstep scene come together to make an amazing track for Kill The Noises Blvck Magic EP. This new moombahton banger features catchy child vocal samples that all drop into a mess of electro sounds featuring all the signature sounds you’d expect from the duo. The way Feed Me’s high pitched synths and vocal chants fit with Kill The Noises bass is perfect. This song is pure gold. Enjoy!

Over 50 DJs Performing to Help Heal New York at Pacha NYC this Wednesday November 14th

This Wednesday, November 14, Pacha NYC is doing something that no organization has ever done before – RPM & Pacha NYC are both proud to announce that they will be hosting a benefit for the victims of hurricane Sandy, called Help Heal New York.  Since hurricane Sandy hit the tri-state area, Pacha NYC has been doing everything they can to help this great city, and for every event they have hosted over the last few weeks if you brought canned goods, you were allowed in for free or at least reduced admission to the event.  Pacha NYC is doing the unthinkable because 100% of the proceeds from this event will be going to the Red Cross and other local charities – 100% meaning all of the profits and other money made at this event, from coat check tips to DJ fees will be donated to help fix the damages and the victims who were effected by this awful tragedy.

This benefit is more like a festival then an event because there are over 50 international and local DJs that will be performing over the course of the evening, Read more →

Preview: Dillon Francis – Bootleg Fireworks (Burning Up)

It’s been a while since we’ve heard form the Moombahton genius Dillon Francis. Dillon is back again and better than ever with his new original titled “Bootleg Fireworks”. This has an old school Dillon feel to it mixed with his new sounds introduced in songs like “Hulk”. Featuring catchy vocal sampling and hard hitting bass make for a new Moombah anthem. I can’t wait to hear more from Dillon in the future. Enjoy!
