After a very successful pool party last year, Scion is presenting Dim Mak and Friends Pool Party at Miami Music Week. After a wicked series of days, partying over NYE there has been a lot to come out of the EDM world. The biggest news being a brand new production by one of the biggest names in the world of Progressive House, Axwell. Having not produced as a solo artist since 2011 on “Heart Is King,” here we have a live play (at the Lights All Night event, NYE) of what looks to be the latest instalment amongst the Swede’s stellar career. Steve Aoki – Aokify NYC w/Special Guest Nervo & Benny Benassi @ Pier 94
The week of New Years Eve is always the biggest of the year with Djs hosting massive show after massive show all over the world. Kicking off New Years weekend in New York City is none other then the wild cake throwing dj himself Steve Aoki hosting Aokify at Pier 94. Aoki has had a huge year in 2012, he released his first EP ” Its The End of The World As We Know It“, released his first album “Wonderland” which featured the monster tracks “Ladi Dadi” with Wynter Gordon and “Emergency” with Chiddy Bang and Lil Jon. He also headlined festival after festival including Electric Zoo, Ultra Music Festival and Tomorrowland. Now he is back to Aokify New York City and he is not coming alone!
Joining Steve Aoki for this wild show is none other then the man himself Benny Benassi and the beautiful Nervo Girls. Benny Benassi has been in the game for a long time and still to this day knows how to make crowds go absolutely wild. In 2012 Benny worked with artists such as Chris Brown and Modonna, Played multiple festivals such as Ultra, and EDC Vegas and recently released his new track Perfect Storm. Liv and Mim aka Nervo made huge waves in 2012. They played outsets in Ibiza all summer long, Landed themselves on the Beatport top 1o twice with there new hit with Hook N Sling ” Reason” and “Like Home” with Nicky Romero. They played multiple festivals and also gained a residency in Las Vegas! This was a huge year for all these artists and 2013 should only be bigger. Aokify at Pier 94 is going to be a huge event and should be a massive hit!
Festival Season Is Back in Aussie Land, First Up: Stereosonic
It is that time of year again. The sun is out, the tunes are flowing and the people of Australia are buzzing just in time for the beginning of what looks to be another amazing festival season. Having been the highlight of the 2011-12 season, Stereosonic is back and over-flowing with talent this year as event organisers release the biggest line-up to hit Australian shores to date.
Stereosonic broke all kinds of records last year with huge attendances and awards won for the festival of the year. Nothing looks set to change this year as organisers have all guns blazing, ready to cap off another Australia-wide tour with 5 shows on the books. The Stereosonic festival is set to hit Sydney, Perth, Melbourne, Adelaide and Brisbane across 2 weekends. With tickets all sold out in Sydney and Melbourne, and other cities close to selling-out, Stereosonic is set to break attendance records for the second year running.
A festival such as Stereosonic has people across the whole world talking, offering a vast range of sounds to all EDM fans, including House, Trance, Electronic, Techno and Dubstep stages. This years line-up features a very strong Trance line-up featuring Dash Berlin, Markus Schulz, Sander Van Doorn, Aly and Fila, Orjan Nilsen, MaRLo and more.
For Deep and Tech-House fans, Carl Cox will once again be hosting his Cox tent along with the likes of Adam Beyer and more. Dubstep and hard-electro fans are in for a treat with the likes of Bassnectar, Porter Robinson, Excision, Flux Pavilion, Dillion Francis, Krewella, JFK of MSTRKRFT and more joining the festival. For the house, electro and big room sound fans, the likes of Tiesto (headlining), Avicii, Calvin Harris, Major Lazer, Chuckie, Martin Solveig, Laidback Luke, Example, Bingo Players, Tommy Trash and more will grace the stages.
Stereosonic kicks off in Sydney on the 24th of November followed by Perth (25th November), Melbourne and Adelaide (1st December), Brisbane (2nd December).

SENSATION 2012 New York: October 26th and 27th – Line Up Announced!
Finally, the day has come where Sensation announces their New York line up. It’s incredible to think that the October 27th date sold out (in 2 hours flat…) on the event’s hype alone; and now that hype is backed with some top-tier veteran DJ’s this night will surely promise to be something the United States has never seen. Sensation New York stays true to its Techno roots that were grounded over a decade ago with their lineups for both the Friday and Saturday shows. Friday (October 26th) we have DJ sets from the long-time host Mr. White, followed by Dennis Ferrer, Fedde Le Grand, Joris Voorn and Nic Fanciulli. The Saturday date (October 27th) varies slightly, featuring Mr. White, NYC’s own house music legend Danny Tenaglia, Fedde le Grand, 2000 and one and Mark Knight. These artists will definitely deliver on giving the United States a delicious taste of what Sensation has done for 10+ years in Europe.

EZOO After Party: Full on Ferry vs Dubstep Friends
As the first day of Electric Zoo gets underway, many of you will be roaring for more at the conclusion of day one. Luckily enough for you, there will be two after-parties running into the early hours of the morning. Day one of EZoo see’s the likes of David Guetta, Hardwell, Laidback Luke, Nicky Romero and Ferry Corsten tear up the dance-floors. For all the big trance fans out there, the one and only Ferry Corsten will be throwing his ‘Full on Ferry’ party at the Roseland . Along side Ferry will include the likes of Michael Woods, Audien and Gabriel & Dresden. Storming the world with his ‘Full on Ferry’ tour, Ferry now gives the opportunity to all the EZoo attendees to continue partying all night long.
If trance isn’t for you then be sure to check out the massive dubstep party going on at the Best Buy Theatre this Friday night following the conclusion of the EZoo festival. First up is the Benny Benassi and friends after-party at the Roseland Ballroom. If your after some fun and big room house sounds, this is the place to be. With a big line up you can not go wrong. Featuring on the same bill are dynamic Italian duo, Bingo Players, Adrian Lux and Peace Treaty. Benassi will have this place bouncing so be sure to make your way down if you’re a fan.
For the trance lovers, there is also an option for you. Markus Schultz will be hosting his own after-party at the Best Buy Theatre as part of his ‘Scream’ Album tour. Along side Schulz will be KhoMha. This unique will be sure to get you moving and dancing without a doubt.
