Tiesto “In The Booth” Episode #001

Welcome to the very first edition of Tiesto’s brand new documentary, exclusively on Youtube. This 7 minute broadcast, shows us the day to day schedule and ‘club life’ of the one and only, house superstar mogul Tijs Verwest aka Tiesto.  William Conn said it best; he is our classic rock star, he is your Led Zeplin, he is your U2.” Couldn’t of said it better, Tiesto really is our generations biggest DJ/Producer, no wonder he was voted best DJ in the world last year. “When you think of rock stars breaking venue sale records, Tiesto would shatter that record 3x over.” We just love to see Tiesto talking about all the little problems they result in a ridiculously hectic schedule, and how nonchalant  he is about it. You also get to see him in interviews, preparing for shows, etc.

TRACKLIST FOR EPISODE 1:

Review: Tiesto College Invasion Tour – Syracuse

Voted the Worlds Number 1 DJ three times by DJ Mag from 2002 – 2010, theres no doubt that Syracuse enjoyed one of the greatest shows to come to their town (No offense to the Lion King).  Syracuse Oncenter was lucky enough to rage to an award winning headliner along with one of the most talked about young DJs in the game Porter Robinson.

Tiesto wanted to find a skilled enough DJ to open up for him, someone who’s talented but fresh enough to be questioned by people who don’t know much about;  who is new to production/DJ game. And if you are one of those people who went to the show, not knowing who Porter was, you were in for a real treat. Porter threw it down harder then most artists out there. His song selection was incredible, and Pachaholic loves to see an artist work up a sweat. When Porter came off stage his back was soaked. Most people say ew, we say fuck yeah Porter! We love how hard he went in.

And Tiesto? Who could ever say a bad word about his shows. Always in the right venues, unbelievable light and smoke effects, and the music never fails to make your night an epic win. He loves to incorporate a bunch of his old tracks like, ‘Traffic’ and ‘Silence’ and drop some more recent tracks of the House genre, like ‘Hide & Seek’ with ‘Heiress of Valentina (Alesso Remix) Mash-up, right in the beginning of his set. Along with ‘Pressure’ and ‘Levels’ somewhere in the middle.

Tiesto – Maximal Crazy (Original Mix):

Tiesto Ft Kay – Work Hard, Play Hard (Autoerotique Remix):

The whole venue made you feel like you were raging in an abandoned wear-house. Walking in, felt like you were about to watch a Football game, since the ticket booth and lines were massive. As soon as you walked in everything changed, you notice how much room there was for the 5000+ fans. When Tiesto was asked, ‘why do you still plan these huge 15 month long shows, spanding over 175 dates, 6 continents, playing for over 1 million fans.

His response was “Because people care, and they see that I care. I’m very honest in what I do. It’s not an act or a gimmick. It’s pure, it’s emotion.” Whats even more great than that awesome response, is that fact that during his sets he plays way more then only his stuff. He uses many different artists vasting over many genres, from Hard Electro to soothing Progressive House.

Tiesto & Hardwell – Zero 76 (Original Mix):

Sebastian Ingrosso & Alesso – Calling (Original Instrumental Mix):

Alex Kenji, Starkillers & Nadia Ali – Pressure (Alesso Edit):

Autoerotique – Apollo (Original Mix):

Tiësto ft. Kay – Work Hard Play Hard + Autoerotique Remix

Here is a brand new track released today on beatport by Tiësto. There was an older version of the track “Work Hard Play Hard” circulating around the web but this one is the real thing with the older release lacking the electro house style. This might be a great anthem for those who live buy the saying “Work Hard Play Hard. Tiesto is one of the biggest Dj’s around and if you don’t know this already you have been living under a rock. Tiësto is playing a few more shows in the US this summer, including Electric Zoo Festival, and will soon be making his way around college campuses with his Tiësto Club Life College Invasion Tour starting Sep. 15. Enjoy!

Here is a remix, also released today, by Autoerotique:

Hard-Fi – Fire In The House (TiËsto Remix)

Pushing 25 years in the game, Tiesto continues to release bangin’ tracks and killer remixes. He took ‘Fire In The House’ an alternative rock song and produced a heavy electro club banger, the vocals fit perfectly and really make this a typical track Tiesto would release now. His new style is just awesome, so happy hearing tracks like this one, ‘Work Hard, Play Hard’ with a remix contest (click here for the winner), ‘Don’t Ditch’ with Marcel Woods, ‘Zero 76′ with Hardwell, ‘C’MON’ with Diplo, and so many other tracks along with nearly sold out tours. Tiesto is really showing us that his “Kaleidoscope” days are long over (: Enjoy this new remix released today on Atlantic Records.
