Alesso & Dirty South ft. Ruben Haze – “City of Dreams” Out Now on Beatport!
I think we have a potential anthem on our hands. “City of Dreams” produced by the two progressive powerhouses Alesso and Dirty South was relased today on Beatport. As you’d expect, this track has a spine-tingling melody fronted by a fantastic vocal track performed by Ruben Haze. Every once in a while a new song has something about it that just helps it turn into something more. These two producers have released plenty of tracks in the past with of clout, namely Dirty South’s “Phazing” and Alesso’s remix of “Pressure”. The fact that another influential song like the ones mentioned could be released by this duo is far from doubt.

Preview: Alesso – Clash (Original Mix)
Most notably know as the ‘ID3′ rip accompanied along with the vocals “But you didn’t have to cut me out”, now sees its official naming as ‘Clash’. This monster track produced by Alesso has taken over nearly every dj’s set as it displays the young Swede’s raw talent and versatility after being heavily criticised for producing music that sounded the same.
‘Clash’ comes after his recent success on the collaboration with Dirty South on the song ‘City of Dreams’ as well as his solo attempt on ‘Years’. Alesso’s use of a sophisticated collection of grinding chords as well as high-end lead play from the outset has turned track into a contender for one of the songs of the year.
There is no official news on the release date as of yet, so stay tuned.
Escapade Music Festival – Ottawa
With only 4 days to go until the second annual Escapade Festival presented by DNA gets under way, the edm heads of Ottawa, Canada are buzzing, anxiously waiting for the arrival of some of the world’s best dj’s. Ottawa Stadium plays host to this event with crowds of upto and onwards of 20 000 people expected. This two-day event is set to begin on June 30 and continue the following day on July 1 with 3 stages and 40+ dj’s running across both days.
Last years festival featured performances from Tiesto, Laidback Luke and Calvin Harris. This years festival is set to be “Bigger, Better and Louder” with some of the acts gracing the Escapade Stages including; Avicii, Afrojack, Eric Prydz, Alesso, Dada Life, Chuckie, Sander Van Doorn, Gareth Emery, R3hab and more.
Tickets are still available, having already sold 70% of all tickets to the event. For those In Ottawa and surrounding areas or others willing to make the trip over that are over the age of 16, be sure to secure a ticket soon as there is not long to go.

ImanoS Debut @ Electric Beach – Santos Party House Recap
It is becoming a rare occurrence where the marriage between a venue, the people and the talent come together to form a perfect night. This was the case at Electric Beach at Santos Party House on Saturday night where DJs Mighty Ror, Audrey Napoleon and ImanoS rocked a beautiful crowd well into the early morning.
Mighty Ror was on the decks when Pachaholic arrived. What was clear was how dialed in he was into the crowd, delivering an ambitious set of house, progressive and old school remixes that had everyone amped up. If a DJ is playing Alesso’s “Silence by the Night” and Axwell’s remix of “Sweet Disposition” in the opening set, you know the night is going to be massive. The only question that remained was “how massive”?
The house was nearly full to capacity with NYCs young elite in attendance. The door and guest list were managed perfectly by Electric Beach’s Rasaad and the party was just getting hot before one the biggest surprise of the night, Audrey Napoleon, got behind the decks. After playing Pacha the night before, the L.A. based DJ/Producer delivered a progressive, tech house set that was uniquely her own, and had everyone on their feet. Audrey is on nearly every list of DJs to watch in 2012 (and beyond) including Beatport and Elektro Magazine and there is no question as to why. She infused the crowd with her energy to the point where everyone at Santos wanted to get a better look at her and know who was spinning. Audrey’s star power is growing exponentially and I am certain that we will see her again as a headliner in NYC. In the mean time you can catch her at the Identity Festival all summer long. Her recent release Green +15 is available on Beatport.
The Dreamlab Robot was also in attendance, adding a uniquely special touch to an already uniquely special night. With all of these elements in place, ImanoS took the DJ booth to send this party into the stratosphere. ImanoS set the tone by starting with Lady Gaga’s “Judas (Thomas Gold Instrumental Mix)” with Afrojack’s “Take over Control (Acapella)” featuring Eva Simmons. The Mutant Records artist unleashed hit after hit on the Electric Beach crowd including Deniz Koyu’s “Bong”, Adrian Lux’ “Angels (Ken Loi Remix) and Dirty South’s “Walking Alone (Arty Remix)”. The highlight was the debut of his new remix of the Foxes “White Coats” which will undoubtedly receive global attention like many of his previous remixes.
ImanoS effortlessly delivered what many already know to be true. ImanoS is a remix master, his recent releases including “Asimov”, “Let It Go” and “I’ll Wait for You” have all gotten support from some of the biggest producers in dance music today like Tiesto, Pete Tong, Bob Sinclar, Avicii, John Dahlback, and Laidback Luke. However, the Vancouver native is just getting started. If he continues to release massive house anthems and deliver absurdly energetic shows he will become a fixture here in NYC and abroad making special nights like Saturday a more common occurrence.
Release: Alesso – Raise Your Head (Original Mix)
For all the true EDM fans, we’ve been waiting for this one. Alesso has been absolutely killing every song he produces with recent fire tracks like “Calling,” “Good Love,” “River Flows in You” and now “Raise Your Head.” He also just released a preview to his remix of David Guetta’s “Titanium” and when that releases it might top all the other songs. This kid jut keeps on rolling with new tracks weekly so you can expect to be hearing a lot of Alesso for a long time. Take a listen to this brand new fire release and Enjoy!
