Nervo and Norman: From Neptunes to Pacha
As I drove, moving toward Quogue, Long Island the perfect summer day was moving past overwhelming directly toward incredible. From early morning, throughout the entire day and night, two of the greats in electronic dance music were teaming up to electrify the audience at the island paradise known as Neptunes Beach Club.
My anticipation sky rocketed as I entered the parking lot. All expectations I had heard about Neptune’s were far exceeded by the glistening sight of sun and sea. My ears filled with the sounds of the early DJ setting a mellow, loose and easy mood for the early birds, unwilling to miss even a moment of all Neptunes day party had to offer. As Doray and the Nervo Twins arrived, the crowds mood escalated. Eager anticipation could actually be felts. DJ Paige closed out his opening set with tracks both progressive and more upbeat and Norman was ready to fill the air with a burst of perfection in sound. The day club at Neptunes morphed into an energy filled nightclub. He owned the crowd.
