Feed Me Bites The Big Apple
UK dubstep producer Jon Gooch aka Feed Me sunk his Teeth into New York City in a big way this weekend. Fresh off the release of his brand-new EP “Death by Robot,” Feed Me rocked Webster Hall until 4am with his genre-crossing electric drum n’ bass and signature dubstep sound, but what made this night unforgettable was his mind-blowing TEETH light show and stage. Surely one of the most unique visual experiences in all of EDM, Feed Me hit the decks atop his monstrous structural depiction of an evil smile belonging to his mischievous green cartoon persona. The light show and LED visuals on the teeth really must be seen to be believed.
Estonian-born artist and rising electro-house star Mord Fustang supported Gooch along with DJ Dank, both of whom kept the Webster Hall crowd going long before Feed Me came on. Fustang’s unique blend of disco-house and hard electro drops had people going wild and his intensity seemed to grow as the night went on. His set consisted of a good mix of his own music including original tracks “Lick the Rainbow” and newly released “Taito” as well as remixes to “In the Air” and The White Stripe’s “Seven Nation Army.”
When the curtains parted and revealed the massive stage the crowd went absolutely wild. The deep, initial bass, flashing visuals and sheer size of Feed Me’s evil grin drew screams and shocked looks of awe before the first drop brought the intensity through the roof. Feed Me played the tracks off his new EP “Death by Robot” including “Dialup Days,” a track that relies on the playful bleeps and upbeat feeling it invokes rather than the huge buildup and powerful drops he normally features. The signature track for which the EP is named, “Death by Robot,” is a more typical Feed Me sound, with a complextro/dubstep beat and distorted vocals that gets VERY grimy. A clear hit with the crowd was when he dropped “Cloudburn,” an original track featuring Tasha Baxter. “Cloudburn” is a head-banging dubstep masterpiece that has every element of what puts Feed Me’s production above others.
Shows like this weekend make it easy to understand why Feed Me has risen to the level of popularity in the less-than-forgiving world of EDM. His Teeth stage defies the boundaries of your senses and high-energy sets kept Webster hall shaking all weekend long. Feed Me with Teeth is undeniably a can’t miss show and revolutionary production; check out the rest of his tour schedule here.

Hardwell – The World (Original Mix)
Its really easy to compare Hardwell to a pebble falling down a snowy mountain side, coming out with bangin’ originals to even harder remixes, Hardwell has collected a lot of snow in that past year if you catch my drift. ”The World” has been anticipated as one of Hardwell’s masterpieces this year under Revealed Recordings and there is no doubt that it will reach a high level of success. This track was released today, Enjoy!
